• Interviewer: In addition to directors, you've had about 10,000 spectacular leading men. You know, Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Jeremy Irons. Is there anyone in Hollywood you haven't kissed?
• Meryl: [laughs] Hmm...yeah. Anyone under you know, 60, probably. And that's fine. [laughs]
• Interviewer: And I have to ask you, if you're in scenes like that with Jack Nicholson say, does it feel like acting or does it feel like kissing?
• Meryl: Pffffff. [pause] Aiden Quinn is a great friend of mine, and he says, "You know what acting is? Legal cheating." You have this moment, where, you know, you totally are in the moment. But you're never really unaware of the stuff. And you don't want to talk about it, but the stuff you're supposed to remember for the scene. So, no, you don't really completely succumb, as nice it would seem, to be, to think about it.
• Interview: Do you have a favourite leading man? Is there somebody you especially -
• Meryl: Yeah, Sam Neill. [laughs] 'Cause he's here! Or at least I heard he was. [presumably finds him in the audience] Haha, hiiiii!
• Interviewer: She always knows the right answer.
• Meryl: And he is the best kisser. The BEST kisser.
